In the year of 2004, with the nightmare attack of the tsunami, a multitude of Sri Lankans lost their livelihoods. TNR Fabrication Engineering was able to take part in the construction of houses for those who lost their residences through the Tsunami Housing Project “Give Hope Villages” at Beruwala. This project was built at the Tsunami Village of Beruwala. Located in the Kalutara District, Beruwala is a coastal destination town and it is close to other cities, including Ambalangoda, Bentota, Galle, and Matara. Most of these areas experienced widespread destruction due to the 2004 tsunami.
Building projects that aid and support those in need are vital to create a just and developed society. Furthermore, TNR Fab undertook the building project that included the construction of a community building, playground inclusive of a pavilion, and infrastructure development. The Engineers and members of staff of TNR Fab worked tirelessly to make this particular construction project a reality as the ultimate requirement of these houses was to provide a place to live and prosper for Sri Lankans who had undergone adverse conditions in their lives.
